Prepare to Proclaim!

To put evangelism into practise, you need practical skills as well as theory! The workshops will give you the opportunity to practise your gifts as well as learning new skills for use on the outreach. There are a number of training areas, which means that different members of the same team will do different workshops. This means that each skill will be present on the outreach. After the training you will be provided with the materials that you will need.

Workshop Conjuring
Conjuring is a great way to share a Gospel message. When people are curious they stay and watch until the end which gives a perfect opportunity to then explain the meaning behind the trick and the Gospel message. At the conference we give training sessions, which will include tricks using balls, ropes, balloons and cloths. The materials needed will be provided for each team.

Workshop Children’s Work
In the countries where the outreaches are held, the programmes run by the Barnabas teams are always very popular, and you can expect many children to attend. The workshop sessions for children’s workers will prepare you to run an effective programme, including singing, story telling, illustrations, games and craft activities. At the end of the training you will receive a box containing the resources and craft items you will need.

Workshop Sketchboard
Sharing the Gospel story while drawing a picture are the key elements for Sketchboard ministry. At the conference we give training sessions, teaching you how to effectively use the sketchboard, and we will also teach you several stories you can then use during the outreach.

Sports and Games
From the slums of Asia and Africa to Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood there is one common language –sports and games. Nearly everyone is interested in football or another sport, and if you are not into sports, you will almost certainly be into games. Sports and games are perfect tools to build a bridge from the local church to its local community. At the conferences we will teach you how to use sports and games in outreach events.
